Hi,
I have just been trying to download and install the Ubuntu update to take me from Gutsy to Hardy (i386 architecture on an amilo li1718 laptop). All packages downloaded ok and were installing, but during the install it has frozen, I can't see any messages, but I am on a different workspace to where the install was running. If it helps I was writing an email in evolution.
I am loathe to do anything rash such as ctrl-alt-bksp or hard reset unless absolutely vital because I have data on that partition and also on a vista partition I wish to keep - currently using a different PC to write this.
Prompt feedback would be greatly appreciated.
