Vote and Dare me to upgrade..

Right.. Hardy is released! great!

I've updated my PC and personal laptop, with some minor glitches, but everything worked just fine.

So.. Now for my work laptop. Do I dare to upgrade this?
Why not you ask?
Well.. I've got encrypted LVM's on this. I've got this funny feeling the upgrade will utterly fail, and I will be stuck with a reinstall.


System details:
Compaq (HP) nc8430
Ati X1600 mobility (working direct rendering with desktop effects)
Dual monitor (BigDesktop) when docked

Encrypted LVM's (create with alternate CD, resized afterwards, and added several other LVM's)


modified network settings
modified fstab
modified apache.conf / php.ini
citrix client
WVdail / VPN client


The meaning of this post? Dare me to upgrade!

Do you think the upgrade proccess will work? vote "Yes! go on!"
Think im better off with a fresh install, vote "No! don't do it!"

Im in a similar situation, I have just some regular LVM's on my desktop and last time i upgraded (Feisty -> Gutsy), when I rebooted both the new upgraded kernel and the old feisty one would not mount / because it was on LVM.

I have ordered an extra External HDD to backup to before I even consider hitting upgrade :p Im not up for losing over 1tb of important files, last time I only lost about 100gb of stuff.
