Hi!

Considering to try and go the Linux route once more, but there's one uncertainty that's nagging me.

I have the Ati X1950 Pro Pci-E and when I last tried Gutsy, I could get the drivers installed and get Compiz running (thanks to Envy), but sadly, my fan would always go to 100% if I did so and I couldn't get it to to spin down (aticonfig --list powerstates and the like did nothing).

So, what's the status in Hardy? I don't feel like doing the whole install and just find that it's the same thing once again. And getting a new GPU isn't an option, I will dualboot for games and my budget does not stretch to a new GPU.
