X Crashes on Firefox Page Load

so heres my problem...

whenever i visit certain websites in firefox 3 ubuntu 8.04 the x server will crash. Most notably is ubuntuguide.org, that page crashes x every time i try and load it. Has anyone else had a similar problem, and does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Jacob,

I get the exact same problem, where X crashes when going to ubuntuguide.org. This is a fresh install of Hardy on Firefox 3.0 beta 5.

i too am looking for any ideas on what i can do to resolve this.

Check out https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/222277 for a temporary fix.

also you can download and install the nvidia beta drivers. That fixed my problem... just google nvidia beta drivers
