Disclaimer: I am a complete newbie to linux and Hardy Heron is somewhat my baptism of fire into the world of Ubuntu so bare with me.
I just installed Hardy Heron onto a 2nd hand Dell XPS 400 which is packing an Nvidia 6800.
So everything was peachy until I installed the nvidia-glx-new driver pack. Before I could log in and actually get past the login screen and play around with the GUI albeit at 8x6 reso, now I can't get past the login screen as the driver conflict just causes my display to stop working.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
