hi, new to Ubuntu, the 8.0.4 doesn't seem to be able to detect my Wifi card DLink DWL-510. I've installed ndiswrapper but have no idea which inf file to feed.
your help will be appreciated !

Hi,

I'm going through the same pain. The windows drivers can be downloaded from this link:

ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/wireless/dwl-510/dwl-510_drv_270104.zip

You'll find the .inf file in there. Installing from ndisgtk worked fine and I can setup the card from the connection manager. However a few seconds after the connection is up, my system restarts :/

Actually, never mind my previous reply, the D-Link driver doesn't really work. See this post on how I made the card work:
