This is the first time i've ever used linux and i'm pretty clueless. The restricted driver thing popped up tellin me that it had restricted drivers for my wireless card, i turned them on and i didn't see anything about wireless in the network manager. I typed dmesg in the terminal and this is what came up for my wireless adapter.

"[ 35.158694] ath_hal: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel.
[ 35.170147] ath_hal: 0.9.18.0 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413)
[ 35.291673] wlan: 0.9.4
[ 35.368360] ath_pci: 0.9.4
[ 35.368669] ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [APC2] enabled at IRQ 17
[ 35.368677] ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:01:07.0[A] -> Link [APC2] -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 22
[ 35.995376] wifi%d: unable to collect channel list from HAL; regdomain likely 19 country code 0"

I'd be ridiculously happy if anyone could tell me anything about it.

Do a search for the Atheros AR5413 chipset as I believe thats what that card is running. Looking up the chipset would be your best bet to get your card running or let you know whether you need to get a new wireless card that supports Linux.
