8.04 and HP Laptops

I just have a question, can 8.04 run on HP Laptops without any problems? I installed 7.04 on my laptop sometime back and was going to upgrade to 7.10 until I saw that fateful post saying 7.10 lacked the drivers that 7.04 had for HP laptops.

From what I have read, it is better than 7.10. The only big issue so far has been with the owners of the 4306 and 4312 Broadcom wireless chipsets (if they want to use the b43/b43legacy drivers). For 32-bit users, it sounds like the noapic parameters are no longer needed.

If you are not sure about upgrading, you can always play around with the live CD to see how well it boots up. It won't give you the answers for the non-Intel wireless or graphics drivers since you need to download extra stuff, but it will give you some idea.
