Won't download drivers or updates...

I get this message when attempting to update.

W: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/glibc/libc6_2.6.1-1ubuntu10_i386.deb

I also can't download my Graphics card driver, etc.

That's only one example message.

I'm able to use the internet and everything, but I can't get my updates.

What can I do?

I get the same issue, I am thinking the servers are getting hit VERY hard right now. Can someone please verify this or is there a bug we don't know about.:confused:

I have to concur. After doing some more research, which I meant to do first but completely forgot to, I read that many others are experiencing the same issues... It's crappy that I JUST got Ubuntu working and really need to update and get some restricted things as well. Oh well, I can just go back to Windows for a little while until the servers are quieted down. Sorry this post was kind of a waste, lol.

Hey, if it helps, I found sweet success switching to a different server. Right-click your update manager and pick a random server and see how it goes for ya.

I just did get my video drivers downloaded before it all went up in smoke! I think I will wait until the am or maybe late tonite and see if it has settled down.:popcorn:
