Just how compatible is Ubuntu with HP Compaq 6715s? I really want to install, but if there is no drivers for graphic/ethernet/etc etc, then I wont. I want my pc to be fully working with ubuntu, so please, does anyone know anything?

Short version..
I got HP Compaq 6715s, and wondering if there is ubuntu is supported? Is there drivers for ubuntu(ethernet/graphic)?

I've never personally managed to get it working seamlessly, but the best I got was Ubuntu 8.04 with the acpi turned off. Like this, my wireless and graphics cards work fine, as does the sound card, but the fan is always on and the laptop has to be turned off manually (like the old Windows, with the "It is now safe to turn off your computer" message). On top of that, it won't tell me how much battery is left. If I were you I wouldn't bother until you get a new laptop, one that isn't a HP.
