Hi I've just downloaded Xubuntu and I'd like to burn a Live DVD (I don't have any CDs handy).

I've done this in Ubuntu before easily but I don't have a Linux PC here. I need to burn the iso using Nero in Windows and I have no idea how to do this. There are far too many options in Nero!

The image "unpacks" using WinRAR and I don't even know if I'm supposed to unpack it or just burn the iso "as is".

Can anyone help?

Cheers

Hi JGT

I'm just in the middle of doing the same thing. The downloaded file is an iso file and is burned to the dvd as is. I'm using nero 8 which when I open "nero essentials" allows me to choose burn an "image" file. After choosing this it goes ahead burns the iso file to the dvd.

Mine is just finished now so hopefully it was a good burn:)

Not all burning tools let you change to a media type that doesn't match the iso. Nero is the only one I'm familiar with that let you do this.
