The auto configuration of x.org will only use the VESA-driver. If I edit the xorg.conf manual I can only use the "nv"-driver.

If I try to use the "nvidia"-driver it wont work. No matter if I did install the nvidia-glx-legacy-package, use the Hardware Manager, use EnvyNG or use the script from nvidia.

Can someone support me what I need to do to make this work?

bump.....I have a nvidia 6200 but it was causing my computer to lock up constantly...now I've got the old Geforce2 Ti200....but it doesn't work either......

I can't find a graphics card that works with ubuntu....that is really my only complaint with Hardy. This is why people stick with Windoze
