I've looked all over the website and the only bittorrent links that I can find are for 7.10 and 6.06. I also tried multiple mirrors for browser downloading(which i dislike because of easy corruption of installation files) but all are busy. Why would they release 8.04 but not release it via bittorrent?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Here's one among many. This one hosted at Indiana University.

The tracker <http://torrent.ubuntu.com:6969/> seems to be overloaded and not responding.

I'm downloading it right now at awesome speed. I love bittorrent technology for this kind of thing.

I literally didn't know my connection was CAPABLE of downloading at 800+kps. Weird.

Often, it is the server that is the bottleneck. Torrents often reach higher speeds if there are the right seeders available.

I'm currently downloading the server edition via torrent and I'm getting good speeds. I plan to seed it after I install the new system.

Why is there no official Hardy Torrent?

Why is this not being offered on the download page?

There's actually quite a lot of mirrors for direct download now, but the main repositories appear to be slow/down due to the upgrading action.

The torrents are on the individual hosts.

Find one and get the torrent file you want.
