using Hardy 8.04

when checking for updates I get the error:

"Failed to fetch http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/dists/edgy/Release Unable to find expected entry main/binary-amd64/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead."

Wondering how I can fix this?
thanks for any help

This is due to the load on the servers at present, everyone is downloading, just wait a while and try again.

To circumvent the overloaded servers use torrents. I used torrents to upgrade and was very quick. I followed these steps in here: http://ptcbus.blogspot.com/2008/04/upgrading-from-ubuntu-710-gutsy-gibbon.html

Dude, the torrents are for downloading the CD ISO images.

update-manager downloads individual packages.

update-manager downloads individual packages.

And CDs can be used to upgrade existing installs without having to rely on overloaded servers.
