Text Based Installer For 8.04

Is the text based installer available in the livecd, or do I need to download the alternative installation cd?

AFAIK the only text based installer is with the alternate - there were 2 options for the livecd, not including the wubi thing, run the livecd or install - but the install still goes to the same screen just don't get a usable desktop.

basically, i want the installer to give me an encrypted installation, and i don't think it can be done with the livecd. or can it?

i don't know what to download...

in the livecd, does it no longer say "press f4 for the text based installer" ???

Just checked - it says f4 for alternative installation methods on the beta install cd - I haven't got the newest one yet - waiting for the mad rush to finish and I'll get a torrent

It shows the livecd which has an option for an alternative installation method if F4 is pressed.

My question is, is that the same as the alternative cd?
