Upgrade to hardy from CD

Is there some way to upgrade to Hardy from CD-ROM directly within Ubuntu?

In case I have to boot from CD, will there be some upgrade option?

I have /home on same partition as system, so it interests me quite a lot. I am running Hardy Beta with all updates.

You can do it with the Alternate CD:
