I had an installation on Ubuntu 8.10 on top of which I had installed KDE through Synaptic package manager.
A few hours ago I did something really great while wanting to uninstall the KDE, I went to Synaptic package manager selected all KDE packages and removed them all. Now the system doesn't boot up complaining of missing boot partition :)
Off course that proves I am a bit novice dealing with linux stuff and now need some help how to get my system back, hopefully without formatting my disk.
Thanks a ton in advance.
