Just read about another nice "mini" laptop on a and if the reports are right, Linux users will get a higher spec machine for the same price. An interesting turn of events.

Seems that the cost benefit to Medion of a Microsoft tie-in isn't that important. Now if the most popular Linux distro, Ubuntu, were to tie into a manufacturer to offer it pre-installed...

Well since they don't have to pay for XP license, they could pass on the saving to the customers in terms of better specs.

looks alright, depending on what the actual uk price will be, i believe aldi stores generally offer medion computers where i live, i will have to keep an eye out!
