Well the theme itself is not actually available as that was a PROPOSED theme (adding emphasis on Proposed, not shouting) for hardy.
As for the wallpaper I think that is a modded version of one of the ubuntu dapper wallpapers...

well gnome look certainly has some similar themes to those proposed by the hardy artwork team

you mean they decided to pull out of having that as the default artwork!

There there, its okay. 8.10 will have a UI overhaul so new theme im guessing?

leaves room in tears.It looks great, but I don't think that GNOME even has the capability to do all of that yet (a.k.a. rounded menus, transparent eyecandy, ect.).

Perhaps sometime in the future.

well, it would require a compisitor, which metacity 2.22 comes with!

Though it isn't enabled by default, and IMO makes metacity look crappy.

I'm pretty sure the wallpaper is called Dawn of Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install edgy-community-wallpapers
