As most of you probably know, Hardy is in its finalizing stages imminent for release.

As some of you may further know, for several architectures there release-like ISOs already in hidden directories of the main mirror. On behalf of the forum staff and archive managers, I'd like to ask for people to refrain from posting such URLs, advising the use of such URLs, or using such URLs themselves, for several reasons:

(1) It's inconsiderate to everyone who wants to get a copy of Ubuntu on release day: Overloading the central archive mirror causes delays in pushing out these images to release mirrors all around the world.

(2) It's a big annoyance if an error was found in the release: It's not out of the question that at the last minute a serious bug can be found, forcing a re-roll. Since these CDs are marked as finals in every respect, it would be very confusing to determine "good" or "bad" ones.

Again, we ask for users to wait for a formal release announcement before downloading the final release.
