I am looking at picking up a 7300GT for my linux machine in the next day or 2. Mostly a bang for buck thing and overclocking in (dare i say) Windows.
I have read about a few people having a bit of trouble getting the drivers
to install correctly under ubuntu 8.04.

Is this still the case? or will it be fine with the newest driver.

Cheers
Zam

I just use a program called "envy" you can find it here http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html
It downloads the best driver for your card then it installs it for you. It doesn't always work for everyone but it has been great for me. Hope this helps you out.

I did not have any problem with 8.04 Beta and nvidia 7300GT graphics card on my PC. The software had a Gui pop up that allowed the driver to be downloaded.
