what is a good program for getting movie downloads from the web. i am not used to using bit torrent yet. is there any other.

Since we don't condone illegal behavior here in any way, I will assume you're talking about movies that are freely available (http://www.starwreck.com/download.php). And for that, BitTorrent is pretty much the web now, other than occasional things you'll find from IRC bots. ISOhunt (http://isohunt.com) is my favorite place to grab my Kubuntu and PC-BSD torrents.

i have only used web page with iso downloads and No Xiong I don't do that
can anyone tell me how to use the torrent?

You'll have to have a client first, like Deluge or KTorrent. Beyond that isn't really a matter of Ubuntu, but configuring your router, or using a PnP plugin. You can find bittorrent howtos all over the internet.

all righty then Xiong. Ill look for the instructions and howtos you have been helpfull but I no longer see the thank you ribbon or solved in the tools

Click on this link to install Deluge (a torrent-client)
apt:deluge-torrent

Then go to Applications => Internet=> Deluge-torrent

Then go to any torrent site or and download the .torrent file.

Then drag/drop that file into Deluge

And it should start downloading

Ah yes, they updated the forum yesterday, and those things don't exist yet... Alas.
