Hello, everyone.

I am having a slight problem here, and I am unsure as to the solution.

I have a Samsung CD-RW drive which I use for my CD-burning tasks. This device seems to mount and to be usable, but when I use the mount command, it is not listed as being mounted. I used to be able to make ISOs of audio and other CDs for faster burning, but now I am unable to do so. I am unsure as to what happened here.

If anyone could help me with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. I am not sure what has happened, as I used to be able to perform these tasks (i.e. making ISOs from mounted CDs) with no problem. If any extra information is needed, please let me know and I will provide it as soon as possible.

Thanks very much, and take care.

Have you checked the wire/connectors on your drive ?

If you have a floppy drive on your machine, then (with a CD in the drive) boot to a WIN98 boot diskette and see if you can read the information on the CD.
