I just realized that the control center(kcontrol) is missing the component chooser menu item under KDE Components. I hadn't messed with it since before I upgraded from fiesty to gutsy.
I'm running the gutsy 64bit install on which I added the kde desktop. Not via kubuntu-desktop, but just adding the kde components.
I did not think that was a separate package, does anyone know what I might be missing?
EDIT: I figured it out. you need the kde-systemsettings package in conjunction with kcontrol for the component chooser.
