Hey Guys,
I've installed Gutsy on my HP/Compaq Pressario R4000. When I let GRUB auto start Gutsy for me (via the first menu choice) it hangs. However, if I intervene and select the OS recovery mode menu option, the system boots up to a command prompt. If I then type "exit", the GNOME desktop starts up and the OS runs fine.
Anyone know how I can avoid this procedure?
Failing that, I was thinking I could alter GRUB so that recovery mode was its default choice.... and then have recovery execute an 'exit script at the end of its bootup...
Sonny.
