I'm new to Linux but nevertheless I have to administrate a computer with different accounts.

2 questions:

-It seems to me that in order to start Firestarter firewall you need to have administrative privileges.
I put Firestarter in the autostarted applications of the different users of this computer but I wouldn' like to give them administrative privileges, is there a way I can do that?

-When I try to upload a file to my yahoo mail I cannot see the USB pen drive in the window that Firefox opens even though I can open the pen drive from the desktop... Any Suggestions?

Thanks, Miki

Firestarter cannot be run without administrative privileges.

Answer to the first question about Firestarter you can find here:

http://www.fs-security.com/docs/faq.php

(How can I get Firestarter to load automatically when I log in as a regular user?)

Why would you want to run Firestarter at login? It's only a config tool for the firewall, it doesn't need to be running all the time.
