G'day,
can anyone tell me how to make the heads get cleaned on my canon i864 inkjet printer.

in xp i can go to the printer driver and tell it to clean the heads, but i can not find a similar setting in ubuntu

any suggestions??
if worst comes to worst i may install a virtual machine and install the drivers in it and see how i go like that.

if every software fails do it the physical way:

Turboprint sounds not bad. Tell us if it worked.

Try System, Admin, Printing. Then click your printer on the left hand side and there are some maintenance options on the right. Might not be available for all printers of course.

i tried turbo print and i cant access the maintenance options as i need to register it to try this.

im yet to try it, but i reckon if i install virtual box with my copy of xp pro in it and install the canon i865 driver in there it should do the trick nicely.
