I used to have a Genious webcam, it was rather generic and it worked great. It broke, I got a new one and it doesnt work, but the one on my laptop works great. I suggest you google and see what webcams other people have and buy one based on what you can find. Maybe borrow a webcam from a friend and see if it works, if it does try to find one in the shops.
Good luck finding one.
