View Full Version : [ubuntu] upgrade from CD

I've sent away for the CD to upgrade my Ubuntu 7.10. Can I do just the update from the CD or will it require a complete fresh install? Do I have a choice here?

If you currently have 7.04 installed (which has reached its eol) you will need to upgrade to 7.10 first

Then you can follow the link that overdrank posted and upgrade to hardy. Once you have upgraded to hardy you can follow those some steps as you did for the hardy upgrade to get to Intrepid. Or you can remain with hardy which is a long term release version.

Looks like I was out of luck. All the bugs mentioned in those pages happened to me. I ended up biting the bullet and doing a fresh install. Thanks again for the help though.
