I know that is so Off. haha

I ask this anyway, I am looking for a good used Manual car. well because I am going to get one. haha.

I am don't have much knowledge on car because I just simply doesn't care much back to the day.

if you know some good one, would you please tell me the model and the year?
By the way, if it is too expensive, then you can forget it, haha, looking for something between (1000 to 4000) a bit more is ok, if it is worth it.

Thank you so much

Japanese cars in general are tops for reliability and economy. If you want a well-made car that will just run forever you can't go past the big Japanese brands like Toyota, Honda and Mitsubishi.

If you can find a Toyota Camry or Corolla, probably 1998+ in year, and under 150,000 miles, you're golden.
The best (only) stick shift car I own right now is a 1947 Willys Jeep. I love it, but it won't do over 45 MPH, and at that speed, it gets horrid mileage.

Well, if you can afford to feed it, then I'd say go for a 72 Ford Pantera.

However, in light of gas, The Saturn Sky is a pretty sweet and moderately priced sports roadster that gets good mileage, available in manual.

I will also recommend honda, reliable as hell and a nice drive. My current Honda is on 277 000km and still has not failed me.

As a non-American I will second you :)

What has happened to your auto industry?
Just from a design/cosmetic point of view I could probably get your manufacturers to sell more cars abroad. I cannot help with the reliability though.

1992-1995 BMW 5-series. Best car I ever owned.

I own a 1992 Oldsmobile Achieva SCX, and a 1991 Dodge Stealth.

Both exceptionally reliable autos, with an exorbitant amount of "get up" and fairly good mileage, given their years -- the Achieva gives around 25-35 mpg, and the Stealth gives between 20-25.

Is that a picture of 'your' actual car? If it is then you have looked after it really well.

My husband drives a 2000 Honda Accord (manual). He's driven it across the US twice and across Canada once. The thing has over a quarter million miles on it and going strong. Good gas mileage too!

It's even survived me learning to drive stick shift...:D

Considering the posted price range, the aforementioned Japanese brands will be limited to beat up early 90s models. For that money, you can instead get a newer domestic car. Or, a much newer Korean car. :-P

German cars probably have the best sticks of the 1990s. The only catch is the premium you will have to pay on replacement parts.

My 5 speed Civic I've had since 1997 when I bought it new. The car is now 10 years old. From my stupid days as a 16 year old to now.. Faithful machine that one.

I have another car, I just can't get rid of that Civic, it's a part of me now.

The problem with German cars is the image - you pay for it. Maybe other cars have equal workmanship but they don't have the German Image.

Tupac died in a BMW. Diana died in a Mercedes. Gangsters in 'Die Hard' came with a Mercedes. The most state carriages are Mercedes or BMW - e.g. Russia, Vatican City, ...

It's not that there aren't other premium brands, but German manufactures had managed it to make a real business by selling these cars worldwide - maybe you won't find a Jaguar Store nearby but there will be a Mercedes Store.

You have to remember the small Country is the greatest exporter worldwide:

'01 TJ 4cyl 5-spd

Had all of the above in our family. The '01 TJ is so easy to drive with the 5-spd. It needs some help on the highway, a couple of light modifications and about 20hp. Other than that, i LOVE the thing. For putting around backroads and town, it's amazing.
