places to live in Raleigh

hey people, I might be moving to Raleigh. Anybody got advice on places to live close to State's Centennial Campus (aka where Red Hat is)?

Are you looking for a house or an apartment? Do you want to be on a Wolfline route (so you can take the bus to work) or do you mind driving a few minutes? If you have the money to spare, I would avoid any of the really cheap student housing, as its bound to be plagued with the typical problems that plague lower income housing (noisy, burglaries, littering, etc). My roommate and I are about at the end of our lease, and we are going to move to this place called Centennial Ridge. Its right up the street from a Wolfline stop and has its own shuttle service. Its also about a 10 minute drive from NCState, if you wanted to go that route.

Hey, thanks for the tip! I looked at the site and it looked like everything was 3 bedroom/3 bath. I'd prefer to live by myself. I think being on the Wolfline would be a good idea, but isn't necessary.

The only other place that I can think of in the area , that I've been on a tour of and is decent is Westgrove Tower. The place is right on a Wolfline stop, and from what I've seen is pretty quiet (which makes it great for studying). The only problem is its around 8 floors which means an elevator, which I'm personally am not to crazy about. If an elevator is a turn off, I would suggest looking into Apartments at Westgrove which is right across the street. Haven't toured there, but I assume its owned by the same people and as such is a similar living environment.
