I need 70s and 80s pop dance music for parties

I have been trying to find a couple of CDs that capture all those cool musics from the 80s.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find them... and besides that there is much that I don't know of...

Here's an example of what musics I was hopping to find on a 80s music box set:
- Walking On Sunshine
- kool & the gang - celebration
- kool & the gang - get down on it
- clash - Rock The Casbah
- clash - should I stay or should I go
- Video killed the radio star
- aha - take on me
- abba - mamma mia
- abba - chiquitita
- staying alive

After lot of googling I found this site (http://www.pure80spop.co.uk/partysongs.htm), which suggests a couple of CDs... but it fails to include great musics like "staying alive".

My objective is to capture all that great dance/pop/rock music you can dance to in the smallest number of CDs.
Any suggestions?

Try googling for an internet radio station that plays 70's/80's stuff.

You could take a laptop to the place and hook it to the sound system and get on the internet. Tune into that internet radio and *BAM* instant party.

It definitely is up for interpretation, because you might get stuck with the "crap" 80's light rock stuff (REO Speed Wagon, Air Supply), vs the "good stuff", like The Clash, The Ramones, Depeche Mode, etc.

On Amazon.com you can buy individual songs or entire albums digitally.

Find a disk you like, and you can get the individual songs to go, or the entire album. They have a special program for downloading entire albums, and they have a Linux version (I think they have a specific Ubuntu version too), but you don't need it for single songs.

I believe the official "genre" was called New Wave, but some people refer to it as Synth-Pop. Its all 80's to me :)

I recommend Modern Talking for example or Ace of Base. Brother Louie and Geronimo's Cadillac from Modern Talking, Happy Nation and All That She Wants from Ace of Base. Don't forget about Boney M, they are purely superb for parties in my opinion. Bob Marley works fine too.
