afaik its owned by canonical, just to prevent others masquerading as us, and phishing your passwords.

Please ensure you use ubuntuforums.org

Not ubuntu-forum.com, not www.ubuntuforums.org, not ubuntu-forums.org or any other variants, to ensure you keep your account secure and have the least session problems.

It looks like a mirrored UF site. But stay cautious, do not try to log in at that site

Those domains should just forward here without masking.

Thanks, and now I know how to look this up myself :) 192.168.0.1 must be your own dns server? Would this work if I was using my isp's or Open DNS as well?

nslookup is a service which is to be provided by every DNS server.
