Sound Card for Ubuntu

I run Ubuntu on a Gateway 818 with onboard sound. Would a new sound card improve sound? I am not an audiofile, but I have decent speakers 2.0 and just want my amarok playlist to sound good.

Hi Jason,

I'm no audiophile either but I've found that decent set of speakers plus an amplifier can make almost any PC audio hardware sound good. I'm sure a true audiophile would have a different opinion though.
