uhm, if you select to install windows xp doesn't it just tell you to leave the CD in the drive and give you a "Reboot Now" button?

So yes, I expect it will work :) (although the reboot button likely won't)

That is funny, but can it also be destructive in the sense that XP will reformat the disk without your knowledge?

I say give it a try. Could be interesting to see if Win programs work better in Windows through Wine rather than just through Wine itself :D

I have only 128 mb ram and no graphic card and a old processor . So my system will hang if i try wine with large applications.

Even if you could get it installed, how exactly would you um....boot it?

I'm tempted to try this
Is there a Windows.exe?

It won't work. All you're seeing is the Windows cd autostart program that gives you the option of restarting the computer or install various Windows services. It is no more possible to install Windows in Wine than it is to install Windows in Windows.... without a VM, that is.

actually there are 2 ways to install windows,

1. the button, which UPGRADES the current windows (ie. ME, 98, 2000) to xp.
2. restart and reformat completely.

That's what 'stable' means. In that state it is rock solid.
