There are all kinds of great games for cli, especially roguelikes. Check out this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=603292&highlight=empire) and this one (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=603292&highlight=empire) for some ideas. I think "Dungeon Crawl" is now called Stone Soup (http://crawl-ref.sourceforge.net) (great game), and you should check out Doom Roguelike (http://doom.chaosforge.org/).

I'm also a fan of Super Star Trek (http://almy.us/sst.html) and the fun, but complex, Empire(check the repositories).

There's lots more too. You just have to do a little scrounging around on the net. I could never figure the bsd games out, I think the controls are confusing, but for a good tetris game, check out vitetris (http://victornils.net/tetris/).

Hua Rong Dao, an ancient Chinese puzzle game that is rather challenging. It's in the universe repo under the name hrd.

Nethack is the best way to spend your CLI time gaming (useless pitch), but if you choose to do something a bit more constructive, TypeSpeed (http://tobias.eyedacor.org/typespeed/) would be something to look at.

My favourite rogue-like, ever. Very difficult, as well.
