It's a hatch. Got nice speakers in from the previous owner, makes my journeys to uni more exciting. 2 6x9" 50W Alpines and an Alpine deck.
It's a definite improvement over my old (my first) car, hehe.

91 Toyota Celica and a 99 Ford Ranger. The Rangers got a busted out rear window and some bulletholes in the tailgate, so I don't drive it too much anymore. Pretty much just to haul stuff in. Pics after I get out of work.

people crazy :p ...

I have no car as I really don't need one, and with that fact it would be hard to motivate from both environmental and economic viewpoints.
So it's biking mostly, sometimes I go by bus or just walk.

I don't think there is a bus stop within 10 miles of my home.
I guess I bike would be possible but around here there is no bike lanes so you are forced to put your bike on the street with cars which around here is a SCARY thought.

My wife and I donated our car. We take the bus, walk, and ZipCar now. It's great... and much cheaper.

I can attest to this.

All across the SE United States, unless your town's name is effectively Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, or Houston, you're using a car to go across the street.

I drive a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. I live in Fort Worth, TX where a vehicle is pretty much mandatory. The public transportation system here is woefully inadequate and everything is spread out.
Love my truck! (Except for the gas mileage, OUCH!)

I've got me a 99 Honda Accord EX, champaign paint color, slight tint on the windows, power moonroof, etc. I love her to death, but she's technically my parents' car (yeah it's a bummer being in college and having no money but whatever). Anyone have a name for theirs. I'm saving the first name for the first one that's really mine.

i don't know how it is in those other towns, but it's disgraceful how reluctant many of atlanta's citizens are to use what is reputedly a very good system.

In Birmingham mtero, people walk quite a bit if they have to go short distances and I see an increasing number of people using bikes to get around the university neighbourhood. But outside of what-could-be a 3 mile radius, there is a disproportionate number of pickup trucks and SUVs in most parts of Alabama.

+2 I live in south florida and it is the same thing. Miami has a single line elevated track but it doesn't go anywhere important. Since i live on the beach i should walk more, but i don't.

I live in a small city with a limited variety of retail outlets. For certain goods and services, I would need to travel 45 minutes to the nearest metropolitan area. There are no trains going this way. Buses are sparse and expensive.

2002 Ford Mustang GT.

I sometime wish I had an old, beater truck, but I love my Mustang too much to get rid of it.

As for public transportation, its nonexistent in rural Missouri. There are some shady taxi services but they aren't the most sanitary or safe looking vehicles or operators. Trains and subways, keep dreaming... And if the Super Wal-Mart doesn't have it, then you're either going to St. Louis or waiting for UPS to bring it.

I must admit that if there were a decent public transportation system here I would use it in a heart beat. Oh, how I hate buying gas...

I don't have pics, but its a pearl white.

Yay for being a poor college student. I inhereted it from my Uncle who is the original owner. At least being poor has forced me to be good at car repairs! (It doesn't actually break very often for being so old) :guitar:

I drive a beat up trashed out well used 1995 Ford Probe. It has about 143,000 miles on it. Bad brakes, an electircal drain I cannot find (it drains the battery overnight and i need to use a portable battery jumper to get it going) the fuel lines are clogged, the antenna is broken off ( a temporary one is shoved in there) and the sunroof leaks ( I have a bucket and towel at the ready). Spent $550 for it and am soon to get rid of it. I am looking though the classified and am thinking about a used BMW 740il. It will depend on what is available when I have the $ to get one though!

This is probably the best the car has ever looked.
