Why is cheese not included by default in 8.04? It has gnome 2.22 in the release notes but it does not include this application.

http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.22/#sect:cheese

I installed it through the repositories but I was just curious why this seems to be the case.

they also might have left it out due to disk space too.

It's just a program to make videos/pics with your webcam. Not chatting or anything

It's really nice though, if making videos wouldn't crash my isight camera it would be perfect. It's much better then photo booth inmo.

That was a pretty scary april fools joke. Put that makes sense, they only have so much room on that 700mb cd. But it is a very nice application... well I enjoy it anyways.

Well, installing it is quite easy still, so if you believe a new ubuntu user should have it, it'll be a snap to have them install it :)
