Sound Converter alternatives

Any recommendations for apps similar to Sound Converter, that is for for batch converting audio files to/from various formats.

I know for videos there is ireverter in the repositories. I haven't need one for a while though so I have forgotten.

Or you can use mplayer from the command line. I'm sure there are plenty of scripts/one-liners available.

Thanks, will check those out. Yeah there are lots of scripts, I wrote one in python myself for recursively batch converting a directory tree from flac to ogg vorbis. mp3 is quite a bit trickier as there aren't (or I never found) command line tools for easily copying the tags over though, which is mainly why I use Sound Converter. Unfortunately, it has a bug when dealing with multiple directories.

nautilus-script-audio-convert isn't quite what I'm after, and I haven't been able to get soundkonverter working, at least not for flac to mp3. Guess I'll give gnormalize a shot next. Any other suggestions?
