We are planning on having at least two parties for the release of Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. One will be at Panera Bread in Easton Center (Columbus) and the other in Lima. I am still working on a location for the Lima event. The parties will be on Saturday, April 26 starting at 5:00 p.m. We are going to try to have live video streaming of both events. A wiki has been setup at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OhioTeam/HardyParties.

If you are planning to attend or have your own party, please let us know which party you will be attending and the number of people coming with you.

I may be very up to attending the Easton event... 15 minute drive, so it better be worth it! :)

Is there going to be more detailed info on what's going to go on at each location?

At each location we will eat, socialize, play games, show off Hardy, and help users upgrade/install Hardy.

There may be more details posted in the future. It should be fun!

This is my first time...how do these things work? I mean, I know that I'm invited, but can I bring others along? How many can I bring along? Can **I** invite others interested in open source? Whats the protocol?

You can definitely invite others to come! The more the merrier! You don't have to ask to bring others... just do it! (Great, now I sound like Nike :p)

I don't have any from the Gutsy release, but they were very similar. :)

I'm the guy in red at the laptop in this one (http://muohio.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=33638159&id=7714185&l=2d906).

I am looking into having a party at Wright State University, but I am not sure of the rest of the details. I will post with more in the next few days.

I have uploaded label documents to The News Source's website for Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Edubuntu/Xubuntu Hardy Heron. The labels are designed to fit 1 inch by 2 5/8 inch labels. The labels are at http://thenewssource.org/hardylabels.html.
