Ubuntu 7.10 problems:
1)Picasa cannot be install
2)Will not play dvd, eventhough I installed the codecs
3)Cannot install any codes
4)When I plug in a usb flash drive, and try to play a song, the system completely freezes
5)Many web applications cannot be install
6)Cannot upload photos from my picture folders to my space

If anyone has encounter these problems, and have found a solution to them, I'd appreciate your help.

thank you

Hmm, not sure on 1, but for 2 and 3 I'd try mplayer. I really like it. (TIP: In, UBI, I think mplayer is installed with the GTK frontend and it's actually alot nicer without it). For 4) check your syslog file, is it telling you anything? Also watching dmesg (watch dmesg) might show you something. 5) could you elaborate more on that? Are there any error messages showing. 6) Whats the process you do to do that?
