New User in Ohio

New user of Ubuntu here. I just installed 7.10 this week and all went very well. Including getting my Linksys wireless card going.

Next project will be to get my SSL vpn working so I can connect to work from home. So far I have not been successful, but have not given up yet. Any hints on SSL vpn setup would be appreciated!

Welcome to Ubuntu Ohio! I don't know anything about SSL vpn stuff, but you can try on #ubuntu-us-oh (there are instructions at the top of the Ohio team's forum to get on if you need it.) Also, what part of Ohio are you from?

I too am new to Ubuntu. I haven't used Linux Dektop for at least 7 years.

This may sound lame, but would you like to author your notes in this blog (http://www.yay4u.com) as you explore Ubuntu? ;) I'm limiting the blogs to the simplest packages and utilities that provide the most essential functions.
