I remember when I came to linux 6 months ago, right when Feisty Fawn was giving way to gutsy.

I must say it's impressive how fast new versions of Ubuntu come out.

Just installed Hardy on my laptop, it works great.

Ubuntu just keeps getting better.

they are scheduled for a new release every 6 months, only exception I know of was the dapper release, which was 2 months late(still didn't hit the release of the version after that).

They are all together, so yes (unless something drastic happened that I missed)

The beta is quite good for me, so it may be worth checking out.

ahh so I have to show my freind how to get the newest version of Xubuntu

( he uses it on his laptop cause "he broke it" which means he got over 2000 viruses on windows and it wouldent boot up. his bro who is a whizz with computers couldnt figure anything out, so I walked over with a Xubuntu install disk *cause the kid's a speed demon* wiped his hardrive and installed Xubuntu.)

sorry, was working off it's release number and assumed it must have been close enough to 2 months.

@ loell : I tried hardy, but my graphics got all messed up, I'm using an ATI radeon 2800(or 2600, how do I check that?)HD. since this bug was already reported I figured there was no point me continuing until it was fixed, send me a message when it's fixed if you want me to help beta test it(I'm gonna install hardy on a second partition anyway soon, erase over my spare dapper that never get's any use).

Yes.

I'd like to see new ones every 6 weeks actually. Probably get one dialogue changed before FF.

Using Hardy every day (to actually get things done). I don't even think about it as being "new" anymore.

Yes, it doesn't feel like a beta. Getting ready for the next version...

using it since alpha 4, I really like it. It's not really différent but It worth it.

Ubuntu 8.10 makes me curious.

I don't understand why Ubuntu even bother with a server edition, considering there is Debian.

Not a beta, but even better - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/daily/current/
