Hi everyone,

First of all let me say that I am posting this here since this is home of the "Post Your Desktop Thread," and thus home of great wallpapers

I am looking for a wallpaper which I have seen everywhere, only now that I am looking for it, I cannot find it for the life of me. I have combed countless old post your desktop threads and alas, it remains unseen.

The wallpaper I am looking for is a dark one, I want to say diagonal stripes but it might have been vertical as well. The striping was dark, maybe black and a dark silver or gray. It's pretty slick but not flashy, think tuxedo.

If anyone knows where I can find a wallpaper matching this description, please post a link to it. I will award the person that posts the correct link 7 internet cookies! :)

Thanks guys!

Not exactly sure what you mean by hemisphere. I think the stripes might have been a tad bit thinner and slanted.

Why yes it is! I just added that one to my collection thanks.

Don't give up on me!

It looks fairly simple. Can't you make something like it in the Gimp?

The wallpaper is called "excellium", and I happen to have it in my wallpaper folder.

I have attached it, it's a 1280x1024.

hehe....That is very easy to do with zsh, which is the shell I use. zsh comes with a number of themes.

Yes, it is maybe easier to deal with zsh for this kind of custom prompts, but it is not impossible to do with bash :)

But that's not exactly the same as what's shown in ayoli's desktop. The most obvious difference is that the stripes go the other way (top left to bottom right, instead of top right to bottom left).
