Manslide Issues in Ubuntu

I managef to install Manslide (a KDE app) in Ubuntu. I made sure it had all the dependencies outlined in the application's home page - however, it doesn't same my project or if it does it fails to open a saved project. In addition, if I am working in the application, when I am loading photos - sometimes it just shuts down.

Are these issues the result of running a KDE app in Ubuntu or is there an issue related to dependencies?

Hi. HAve you tried using the package from getdeb.net? I would suggest using the .deb packages from getdeb.net They might work better than installing the program yourself. Here is the link

I did use GetDeb. However, I notice that the smilutils and sox files in the repositories for Gutsy are not the latest version of these files outlined in the Manslide homepage. Only Hardy Heron has the right version of these files.

It seems odd that it starts up and seems to work - but acts unstable. I found a project file I saved in Manslide. When I restarted the application - I tried opening the file and the application would reopen the directory form and never let me open the saved project file.

I am quite disappointed as this is the one application I have been looking for to make slide shows with music. I will probably have to stick with Kdenlive - its just not as easy to use with photos.

I have installed manslide and is qorking fine. But the only problem is that I'm not able to import animations.It is not accepting any of the formats(mpeag,flv,avi,swf). Can you give me a specific format for manslide.
