I made a wallpaper -- hosted it at gnome-look.org...

Linux: Putting the Hammer Down (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Red+Hammer?content=77324)

I did it in Red because so few are done with red... I will do a few other colors tonight (feel free to request a color)

did you do the motion blr yourself? It looks more like he's going to stab you with its end rather than slam the hammer

Good job nonetheless. but not something i'd use

Glad you like it -- perhaps I can try to add some lightning to it for you... have to think on that.

I want to be clear, as not to take credit for something that is not mine, the guy with the hammer is a render from Guild Wars and not the product of my labor... though I did tweak it here and there.

you have to change the license from GPL if the guy is not yours

change it to free or use the same licence from the guildwars original walpaper

Thanks... I am not aware of any license or copyright on the render -- it is available for free download and none of the legal stuff on their site appears to cover art work other than the logos; so I changed it to no license.

Would you share the gimp (or photoshop) file?

I like it, but I would make a more white-ish version and without the embevell (or however you spell that) effect on the ubuntu.

I sent you you a PM -- the file is too large to attach here.

Could you add them to your OP so your art is easier to find?

(And where is that avatar you said you'd make? :( )

I felt this one deserved its own thread. Sorry to have offended you.

I felt this one deserved its own thread. Sorry to have offended you.

Your art is really good (I know, you are not the sole creator)

It would be better, for you I think, to have all your wallpapers in a single post to make them easier to find. (Update the OP of the thread with the links as they come)

I felt this one deserved its own thread. Sorry to have offended you.No offense intended :). But it saves time to update and keep all your wallpapers in one thread, so that way, people can comment on your wallpapers in one thread and not go to another thread.

Two more Python wallpapers (as I wait for the oldest to go to sleep so the 'easter bunny' can come.

Bluewave w/ large Python logo (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=77486)

Bluewave w/ small Python logo (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=77487)

Not sure I can put Tux in that armor... but I will at least um... consider it.

I was trying to follow a howto using the GIMP, and I failed miserably.

Do you have any good guides on using it?

Remember: I am a geek, not an artist.

Yes, here (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/show.php?content=77632&vote=good&tan=53942603) is my newest wallpaper...

I started another thread because I wanted to discuss the "distortion field" comments a writer had made about Steve Jobs and the possibility that there is a negative distortion field around Linux.

For the discussion on that please see here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=734136).
