apply command

Good day all.

Does anyone know whether "apply" command (available in BSD systems) is also available in Ubuntu? Does it come in a package or smth like that? Or, is there an alternative to that?

There is no "apply" command in the official Ubuntu packages, so I guess it doesn't exist in it. However, I almost never use it in BSD either. In 99% of the cases, you will be able to do your thing with a for shell loop, which is IMO much more intuitive.
