I know that the red usernames mean that the person is a mod, but what about the others? I have also gathered (or think I know) that the light brown (ex. http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=31330) means ubuntu developer and the green (ex. http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=128084) means LoCo mod. Am I right? What other colours are there?

I've always wondered about the "Burnt beans" and "Day old decaf". I guess they're people who have somehow infringed the forum rules and have been banned? (seems obvious) Anytime I see one of these, I get curious about the reason why they've been banned.

LaRoza, I noticed that you are the only user in the list of moderators appearing in black rather than red or dark red. Is there a reason for this? Perhaps it is just a bug. :)

Nope, it is just me using an unplanned feature of the forum :)

I can change it back, but I won't, just be different.

Group Membership.

Just to elaborate, users who are members of more than one group can choose which group with which to identify. LaRoza, I believe, is a member of the Beginners Team and the Unanswered Posts Team, both of which give members a black text user name. I -- and others who are only members of one group (in my case, the group Moderators") -- don't have this option.

Just one of the intricacies of a large and complex database.

are there any other colours that are less common?
