3.4. DVD, Digital TV, and More

GNOME 2.22 premieres the capability to preview and play Flash content and video using the free and open Flash decoder swfdec.

If I could play Youtube, Live Leak and other flash sites without the use of Adobe Flash, then that would be great. One less piece of proprietary software to have one my computer.

you still may need it though, plus it wont be good for everything like the occasional flash app
