Attn Admins! Porn pics are popping up on the Ubuntu forums. Looks like the site has been cracked!

If this is true, please use the "report" button at the top of the offending posts you see. That way the staff can deal with them quickly.

The main banner is changed and I saw one other poster with his avatar hijacked. If no one else sees it then maybe I've got a bug on my box.

I can't find it now. I'll try to go through my history and find it. Do you see the main banner at the top of every page? Is it changed for you?

I mailed a WM contact form.......I'll be back when I find the user.

I've gone through my history and can't find it.

I'm going to scan for virus/spyware. A few years ago this happened to me and it was on my end, but that was with Windows. I've yet to have any trouble with Linux but I guess there's a first time for everything.

Well, depending on what other sites you visited (or have open in other tabs), popups could be visible from those sites.

I've looked around, and don't see anything amiss myself. The logo and top of the page look normal to me, and I have tried this with several browsers and with various ad-blockers turned off. It is strange, but I would suspect that the problem is with your computer as you say.

If you follow normally good security practices, it is likely that this only affects whatever browser you are currently using, or perhaps the account. To test this, you could create a new user, log in that way, and browse the forum from there.

Ok, thanks guys. I just checked Konqueror and no problems there. Cleared my private data in Firefox and that immediately reverted the banner back to normal.
